My Mom had one of these !
Do you even know what this thing is? My grandmother had one and it was old even then. 'Like" if you've ever seen one or know what it is. ~Alex

I bought one and used it for a very long time. You could use the same wash water twice. Baby clothes or diapers "yes cloth" weren't super dirty...white sun dried diapers....smelled so good!

My mom had one. My older brother got his arm caught in the wringer.

The wringers had a safety mechanism, though, that released the top roller even in cases where the clothes going through the wringer were too thick.

We had two---my Gramma Mae would not use the "newfangled" machine that Mom bought, so Gramma was able to buy a new wringer as late as 1960. It was pink & sorta modern looking compared to her original one that looked like this one!

My mother's was about 6 inches from the floor and our dog got caught under it at least 2 a year.

I remember my mom with this same time ringer from the fifties all the way to the mid sixties.

We had one at the Fire Dept. at least until 1990. It was useful for wringing out, and occasionally washing, the chamois (chamoises?) that we used when washing the fire engines. I wouldn't be surprised if it's still there.
