A Driving Deal for Snowflake Tickets
Beginning at noon, Fri., Jan. 17, stop by Mike Haggerty Buick GMC Volkswagen, 9301 S. Cicero Ave., Oak Lawn to buy your ticket to the Snowflake Ball and get a second ticket paid for by Mike Haggerty Buick GMC Volkswagen (only one free ticket per person). There are only 10 free tickets available and the offer is good while supplies last. Be sure to ask for Patrick Cunningham and bring a check made payable to BAPA. The Snowflake Ball is just over a week away, on Jan. 25. Leavitt. 
Community Choir
 Sing with the Community Choir

Beverly Montessori School Wine and Cheese Reception
Beverly Montessori School, 9916 S. Walden Pkwy., will host a wine and cheese reception for parents considering preschool for their young child, Thurs., Jan. 16, 7:30 p.m. Beverly Montessori School was founded in 1967 and provides a respected and cherished Montessori program including a half day program for children ages  3 - 6, a full day program, ages 4 - 6 and a kindergarten program. Bluegrass Bands at the Beverly Arts Center
The Henhouse Prowlers and The Leadfoot Band perform bluegrass music Sat., Jan. 18, 8 p.m. at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St. From lightning fast picking to sentimental ballads, the Henhouse Prowlers play original material, traditional songs and contemporary covers. After School Program
Universal Family Connection, 1350 W. 103rd St., is offering open enrollment in after school programs for youth age 6 to 18. The program is held 5 afternoons a week and features group life skills, academic assistance, performing arts and field trips. Beverly Arts Center
 Application Deadline Jan. 27 for Evolving Artists
The Young Adult Board of the Beverly Arts Center invites evolving, emerging and non-established visual artists of all ages to enter the 6thAnnual Evolving Artists Competition. The application deadline is Jan. 27.  The competition is open to all mediums, including pencil, charcoal, pastel, paint, sculpture, collage, graphic design, photography and prints. Applications are at the BAC, 111th and Western. Works by finalists and winners will be on exhibit Feb. 18 through Mar. 18.  Ridge Run Seeks T-Shirt Designs
Area professional, amateur and student artists are invited to submit designs for use on the t-shirt for the 37th Annual Ridge Run.
