Please help us! It has recently been suggested that people our age might be “over” reunions. This is a shocking thought for your Mid-60s Reunion Committee as we exist for precisely that reason. In fact, there are a few reunions coming up; we’d like to make you aware of them in case you really are interested.
This fall, Paul Palmer, Kathy Chamis and George Clancy of the Class of 1965 are planning a reunion for their classmates (and just about anyone else who wants to join them) on October 24, 2015. This reunion is “Economy Class” – tickets are just $25 if you purchase soon. Please check out the details at:
and spread the word.
The big Kahuna of reunions for many of us will take place in 2016 when Morgan Park High School celebrates its 100th birthday! The School is just now forming a Committee, but we’d like to hear from each and every one of you – would you attend school-sponsored events celebrating Empehi’s birthday? How about if the Mid-60’s Reunion Committee planned an event or two in conjunction with the School’s celebration? Are you interested now? Out-of-towners – what will it take to bring you to Chicago?
Classmates from 1968 Lois Mayer, Joan Machtemes Topen and Dale Kasman Kerbs get together occasionally for lunch or dinner. They are meeting on June 24th. For more information, contact loisrmayer@yahoo.com
Dennis Carlson (1967) also coordinates several pizza get-togethers each year at Palermo’s or Beggar’s – out of town alums are always reason for a get-together, so let us know if you’re going to be in town and would like to have a slice or two with former classmates.
Remember, not all reunions take place in Chicago. The Florida alums have had several very successful mini-reunions – contact the Mid-60s Reunion Committee at empehireunion@aol.com if you’d like to host a mini-reunion in your area. Maybe we can help you contact your local classmates!
If you can help us contact our classmates, please Forward this as an e-mail to your friends, with a copy to us. We’re losing contact as folks retire, downsize or change their e-mail address. Let us know how you feel about reunions!
