Coach Warden required Allen to drive Craig home in his brand new Chevy convertible because Coach didn't trust Craig with the car alone (and look what still happened), and Craig had brought the away uniform for a home game, not forgotten it.

Thanks for the correction, Al. Last time I will ever borrow the Coach Warden's car with you (we broke the back window when we took the top down). I am going to tell the famous Carlson Cherry Bomb Story / Caught by the Cops / Grounded For Life Story next.

As we used to say in Nam, payback is a M___
Terrorist Attack in Mount Greenwood !!!!
Al Carlson MPHS Jan 66 was a fine young man - an honors student, a member of Youth For Christ, and all around good guy. But beneath the calm straight exterior linked the heart of a budding terrorist.
He thought it great fun to drive to our home at 106th and Lawndale and heave a large cherry bomb into our front yard.
BOOM!!!
Sounded like an earthquake. Or artillery coming in on your position. Carlson would then
drive off rapidly in his daddies Rocket Action Oldsmobile at high speed, cackling like a maniac.
drive off rapidly in his daddies Rocket Action Oldsmobile at high speed, cackling like a maniac.
However, the last time he did this infamous deed our neighbor, Police Office Jack Needham, was driving home. He was driving a Volkswagen mini bus. He quickly pinned Al's car nose to nose. Al backed up trying to do a 3 point term to make his getaway, but Officer Needham kept his car head to head with Allen's, allowing no escape.
Officer Needham arrested Carlson. I went out to intercede, although in hind site I should have let him twist in the wind. After our discussion, Mr. Needham did not run him in - he just called Allen's Dad.
Allen was of course in deep kim chee. As I recall Allen's parents grounded him for life without parole.
Al
Carlson - a budding terrorist. We can only hope he has reformed now.
