KISS Reunion (Keep It Sweet Simple)
A KISS Reunion is a Sweet and Simple Reunion with minimal planning and cost. We simply establish a date and time and location for the reunion - Join me at the bar.
The KISS Reunion can be conducted on the same weekend of each year. Attendees simply meet at a designated spot on a schedule as follows. It would be very simple affair, just join us at the bar.
Reunion - Free - No Reservations
A Fixed Date Each Year at a Fixed Location
Friday
Always a fixed day, say 2nd Friday of ________
7:00 pm till ??? - Join us at the bar
Saturday
2:30 pm until 5:30 pm - Join us at the bar, or arrange to do something else with your old friends - golf, downtown, museums, theater, etc
7:00 pm till ??? - Join us at the bar
Sunday
0900 Breakfast in the hotel
The KISS Reunion can be conducted with very little planning other than to get a favorable rate from a hotel, get the bar prepared for the additional crowd and let the people know via email and electronic media. One snail mail would be helpful.
Doing it at a hotel simplifies logistics and makes it easier for out of town attendees. There is an argument to settle on one place for all events.
The ideal hotel has a large bar, restaurant, and lobby - big enough - if it is really crowded the Reunion would spill out into the lobby - a good problem to have.
The ideal hotel is one that has a large bar, restaurant, and lobby, with excess capacity. The hotel and bar will of course want our KISS reunion. We would work on getting a weekend that is traditionally slow for them. The only thing they would have to do is make sure they had enough bartenders and give us a favorable hotel rate.
No Reservations, no planning, no charge, minimal work.
And possible option is to conduct a standard reunion event on Saturday with the free KISS Reunion on Friday.
How many people would come? Hard to say, but attendance is price sensitive. Free should encourage folks to come.
