2012 Empehi Reunion - Request For Help

Plans are taking shape for a multi-year Empehi Reunion in early August 2012 and we are extending a general call for help. If you are willing and able to assist in some way, tell us what you'd like to do. Operators are standing by to take your call.

Chicago residency is not necessary. The Internet makes it possible to handle almost everything online.

The current plan is for a Friday night gathering at Lexington House with appetizers. Areas will be clearly set up with class year
designations to facilitate meeting up with old friends. Saturday
night will be a fancier dinner at the Oak Lawn Hilton with carving
stations rather than a sit-down meal. At this point we have no
plans for additional activities, though there is discussion of a
Sunday bring-your-own-everything picnic. If people are interested
in other activities and are willing to organize them, that's great.

If you have special talents that we can use (CPA, event planning
business, microbrewery) please let us know.

Here's what we're looking for volunteers to help with right now:

Information updating via phone calls and emails -- lots of folks
have retired since 2007 and may need to be tracked down from our 2007 database of 1000 names

Data base entry and management

Website construction and maintenance

Registration

Around the time of the actual Reunion, we'll also need people to
help with:

Decorations and name tags

Event check-ins

Music for events

Coordinating additional meet-ups
