Judy Halligan Willingham Oh, what a gem of a memory. As Steve Crabtree said, the kids (who, of course, were outside playing) would hear his bell and alert the moms of his approach. My mother, who didn't sew, would always have her sewing scissors sharpened because cutting construction paper made them dull. Of course, I was not guilty of that crime -- it was Ida Know who got blamed.
