Reunion Scoop

Yes, you got a "B" - as in Beach Boys, whose 1964 tune "I Get Around" garnered 45% of the votes as “Most Representative” of your years at Empehi.

“Louie, Louie” by the Kingsmen ranked second with a slightly alarming 31% of the votes, although our concerns were alleviated by the mere 2% earned by “Purple Haze.”  In between were “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” by the Temptations (14%) and “Like a Rolling Stone,” Bob Dylan’s 1965 anthem  with 8% of the votes.

Many Alums nominated other songs. You can see what other songs were nominated (and who nominated them) on the Music Page of our website at morganparkhigh.com.

And speaking of getting a "B," this week's Poll has to do with some of the teachers from our time at Morgan Park High School that we plan to invite to Saturday's function at the Tinley Park Convention Center.  Please go to the Poll Page and vote for the teacher who sparks the best/worst memories in you.

After you vote, if the spirit moves you, go to the Jokes/Stories page and share that memorable moment -- good or bad.  And, by all means, please go to the Donations Page and kick in a little something to help defray the cost of feeding these great teachers.  We’ll be polling you about six more teachers next time around, so feel free to vote in each poll.

Check out who has added their profile at Classmates Today – and please add your profile and “Then” and “Now” pictures!  We have something fun in mind down the road regarding these profiles, and you will want to be involved.

Limited-time Discounts on the Two Night Package are still available online or via snail mail as are separate tickets for the Friday night mixer and Saturday night dinner events.  Rooms at the Tinley Park Holiday Inn at our special discounted rate are going fast, so make your reservations today. (See the Travelers Page at morganparkhigh.com for details.

We are looking forward to seeing you again, August 3-5, 2012.  If you have questions or comments, please send them to morganparkhigh@gmail.com or leave a voice mail message at                                    312 857 6764
