Saturday, November 10th at 3:00 PM
Hi EMPEHI Pizza Lovers,
It's getting to be that time again; oh sure, the leaves need raking and the gutters have to be cleaned out and Thanksgiving is fast approaching, but, it's also time for a Pizza Get-Together; before things get too hectic with holiday plans, etc. We had such a great time at Palermo's last month and some of us thought we should try Lou Malnati's in Naperville again. We did that over a year ago, remember?
So, mark your calendars for Saturday, November 10th at 3:00 PM at Lou Malnati's in beautiful downtown Naperville at 131 West Jefferson Avenue; 630-717-0700 .
This is open to anybody who loves Pizza or who wants to get away for part of a day and have some stimulating conversation and good tasting food. We always have a great time.
Please send me an e-mail if you're planning to attend so we can make reservations accordingly.
Thanks and hope to see you on November 10th.

Marika K. LaSorsa Looking good!
Mimi Williams You both look good!
Dan Findley Gotta forward to Roger.
Rosemary Scardina Coach taught me how to drive; and I still remember him telling me merger doesn't mean stop!
Gail Stepanek Joe has enjoyed all your comments and you would be surpised at how much he remembers about all of you......yes, even you, Will. LOL
Richard Voris I was his coffee boy. Gave me a pass and went down to the Coffee shop next to the RR tracks for a large to get out of swimming. (naked.) I'm Irish and next to the bros ,well .you get the idea.Never had to swim. TMI ? LOL
Gail Stepanek Richard...that wasn't Joe. He never sent anyone out for coffee nor did he give anyone a break from swim class.
Edward Drumm Was that the pass made out of wood? with the word Pass? and a chain?
Gail Stepanek Edward...Coach says it never got lost or stolen.
Edward Drumm That's right. We always put it back, just were we found it:) But we had to pay the price... figure 8's on stairs.

RiverView Park
Riverview Park was a great
old Chicago Amusement Park. Many of us scared the daylights out of ourselves and our dates on the rides.

Comments from our Facebook Readers
- Craig Harlan Hullinger I was 14 when we went with a church group to Riverview. Bonnie Herald MPHS Jan 66 asked me to go with her on the parachute. I am terrrified of heights, and told her shhe would be too scared, but she insisted that we ride. I was more afraid of being a chicken in her eyes so I rode the thing, scared out of my mind. We survived. So then she said lets go again. So we did, terrifying me some more.
- Charles Horne my brother would scare the crap out of me riding the BOBS...hard to believe it was so big and right in the middle of the city!!!!
- Susan Engle Budash surprisingly, I have very few memories of Riverview. I don't think my parents were into amusement parks...hence we seldom went. I do remember being traumatized at a young age going to the state fair and seeing a half man and half woman. Creeped me out!
- Maribeth Montgomery Kasik My parents "lost" me there when I was about 3? In HS, my friend Brenda Bebb & I used to take the bus there from Beverly... The long bus rides were very educational to say the least. I remember Aladdin's Castle & the Bobs! I remember my brothers going on the parachute drop... Scary...
- Judy Halligan Willingham Well, to hear from another country...I only remember the spinning thing where the floor dropped out and you stuck to the wall. Does anyone remember that?
- Richard Anderer No place quite like Riverview. Had more fun at Riverview over the years than I did at DisneyWorld in '75.
- John Wason My dad got free tickets through his employer every year, for a certain weekend. So we went every year. As an only child, I got to bring one friend each year. What a thrill!
- John Wason Richard Anderer: Disney World as an adult is a bore. And you have to spend a ton of money.
- Karen Holck Ketterman Judy Halligan Willingham I remember the ride where you were stuck to the wall and the floor dropped out from under neath you. Never went on that, saw too many people get sick afterwards.
- Marilyn Smithson Losik I remember the Rotor well. It wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be. I never found Disney World to be a bore, even going without children. It does, however, require at least one ton of money.
