CORLISS (CORI) MAE (BRIGGS) LINKLATER
Corliss (Cori) Mae (Briggs) Linklater, 76, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2024, in Friendswood, TX at her son’s home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 9, 1947, in Chicago, IL where she graduated from Morgan Park High School and met the love of her life Bill. They married in 1967 and settled in Tinley Park, IL to raise their family. She devoted her life to raising her family and was very involved in the Tinley Park Bulldogs organization for 10 years where she was a cheerleading coach, team mom, and supported many fundraising efforts. After successfully raising their family they moved to Frankfort, IL and then in 2016 she moved to Venice, FL for the remainder of her retirement years.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jack & Delphine Briggs, and her devoted husband of 41 years of William J. Linklater, Sr. Cori is survived by her children William Jr (Trina), Robin Linklater, and Scott (Roxanne); her sister Judy (Briggs)Flores; her grandchildren Tyler, Allison, Stacy, Tracy, Sherry, Sandy and Scott and her beloved papillon Princess. Cori was an aunt to 25 nieces and nephews, a cherished member of a very large extended family and a beloved friend to all.
She had a passion for spending time with her family and friends and loved to be adventurous by frequently traveling with her children, grandchildren and friends.
A memorial and mass will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 10:30am at Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood Drive, Friendswood, TX 77546. In lieu of flowers those wishing to make a memorial donation in Cori’s memory may do so to Hope Village, 15403 Hope Village Road, Friendswood, TX 77546 or by visiting hope-village.com.
