We flew back from Hawaii in a C-17 to Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. We drove back to San Diego to try to catch a flight to Key West, Florida. Weather was very bad, did not make the flight. Took a few interesting photos from the Naval Amphib Base, Coronado, and the Marine Corps Recruiting Depot. Saw Navy Seals and Marine Boots running.

Home, Sweet, Home, Ken. Marine Recruit Depot. We were there for a day and a half two days ago. I was there almost 50 years ago, living in one of these great Quonset Huts on Mess duty, after I finished Boot Camp in Parris Island, SC. I was still a private and afraid that a DI would drag me back into boot camp.

Carrier just came in - an LPD - carries Marines, I think but would not want to bet on it.
