Mini Pizza Reunion Friday Night, August 22nd at 7:00PM at Palermo's Restaurant

Hi there EMPEHI-ites,

How has everyone's summer been so far? I hope it has been going along with much fun and relaxation. We haven't had a Pizza Night in a long, long time; since December if I remember correctly.

So, what do you think about a get together on Friday Night, August 22nd at 7:00PM at Palermo's Restaurant? Summer will be almost over by then and we should have plenty to talk about, and, the pizza is great.

Spread the word to those who don't have e-mail and to those who don't read their e-mails. Everybody is welcome. We always have a very enjoyable time.

For those who don't know where Palermo's is located: it's in Oak Lawn on 95th Street, I block west of Cicero on the south side of the street. They have valet parking or do-it-yourself.

Let me know over the next couple weeks if you can make it, so I can make arrangements accordingly. Hope to see a lot of you there.

We had a fine time at the Pizza Reunion. In fact we had such a good time that we forgot to take photos.

Thanks, Dennis, for organizing it.

It was a memorable night at Palermo's Restaurant this past Friday evening. There were nine (9) of us present, enjoying a few drinks and some delicious pizza. Those attending included Carol and Pete Raines, Craig Hullinger, Marjana Sampos, Carol Hager Zalga, Chris Leo, John Zielinksi and Dennis & Margi Carlson. We had some interesting discussions, we talked about the Mega-Reunion in October, discussed that great Chicago Little League team, to name a few and, had lots of laughs.

But, we also had a serous moment when we toasted and saluted the founder of these get-together's, Dave Noren; fore, it was 4 years to the date that Dave passed away. We not only lifted our glasses high, but also a slice of pizza, as well. There were plenty of Noren stories passed around, and I'm sure Dave was watching down on us and enjoying all the reminiscing. And, a special thanks to Craig Hullinger who came in all the way from Florida. Watch the EMPEHI web site for news about the next mini-reunion. Hope to see more of you there.

Dennis,

Think of me there in long distance spirit. I just lifted a beer and piece of pizza for Dave here. I would have loved to have heard the stories too.
