Well, hello!
Hi guys,
I'm learning. How do I know this? I am here aren't I? Not sure if this is the only way to post to the group in Facebook because I'm not in any other group on Facebook. Here's to a great and cooling temperature fall! I love fall! I'm not into sweating, scorching and tanning! Except one time each summer I hit the tanning salons to get a head start on skin color! Hope to see more of you here! Thanks Craig for inviting me!

Holly Bacon
Obituary
- "Holly could light up a room with her enthusiasm and..."
PEKIN - Holly Beth Hybert Bacon, age 59, of Homewood, Ala., formerly of Pekin, passed away at her home on Friday, May 22, 2009.
She was born in Chicago, Ill., on May 29, 1949. Her family moved to Pekin, Illinois, in the early 1970s, where she met and married Bob. They relocated to Homewood in 1976, where they raised their family. She graduated from Morgan Park High School, Chicago, Ill., Thornton Junior College and Northern Illinois University, where she earned bachelor of arts degrees in both art and English. She was a graphic designer and ad layout artist for Deverman Advertising in Pekin, Ill., and for Mark IV Advertising in Peoria, Ill. In the Birmingham area, Holly did space ads and layouts for Steiner/Bressler. For many years she worked as a photographer's model and runway fashion model in association with Real People Models and Talent, and oftentimes provided her modeling talent for charitable events. Recently, Holly was the Special Events Planner for the Historic Rucker Place, Birmingham.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the AIMS Sunday School Class, and sang with the contemporary group Praise Alliance at Trinity.
Holly is survived by her greatest artwork, her children, David, Jennifer, and Chris; their dad, Bob; son-in-law, Jerry von Eberstein; daughter-in-law, Rizpah Driver Bacon; her brother, Jon D. Hybert of Peoria, Ill.; and a variety of relatives in the Chicago area.
She was preceded by her parents, Betty Jean Eberle Hybert and Arthur John Hybert; and one twin sister at birth.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Ridout's Valley Chapel on Oxmoor Road in downtown Homewood from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 28. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 29, at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Holly loved flowers, colorful ones, and would certainly enjoy their presence in her honor. However, in lieu, she would love to know her friends have taken the initiative to get a routine colonoscopy. If you choose, memorial donations in Holly's honor can be made to VSA arts of Alabama, PO Box 12504, Birmingham, AL 35202-2504 or online at vsartsalabama.org.
