Wallenda Spills On Tightrope Walk Between Chicago Towers Sunday, Blindfolded!

Thirty-five-year-old daredevil Nik Wallenda made history again this past weekend by crossing the dark, windy-city skies over Chicago on a tightrope without safety net or tether. The stunt was aired live on Discovery Channel Sunday night and beamed abroad to more than 200 countries.
“It was incredible to do the walk in Chicago, a city that holds a special place in my heart,” Wallenda said afterward. “I had dreamed about this since I was a kid.”
On the first segment of the two-part high-wire walk, Wallenda crossed the length of more than two city blocks at an average angle of 15 degrees – a rise of about eight stories. The wire stretched more than 40 stories above the Chicago River from Marina City’s west tower to the Leo Burnett Building.
